Crock Pot Potato Soup
From the kitchen of Caroline ViehmanRob and Caroline discovered an easy and delicious recipe for potato soup made in a crock pot. They have brought this soup to previous Ash Wednesday soup suppers and would like to share it with you.
Ingredients
- 1 30 oz bag frozen hash-brown potatoes
- 2 14 oz cans chicken broth
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/3 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 8 oz pkg cream cheese softened
Instructions
- In a crock pot, combine potatoes, broth, soup, onion, and pepper.
- Cover, and cook on low for 5 hours.
- Stir in cream cheese, then cook 30 minutes longer, stirring occasionally until combined.
- Garnish with green onion, cheddar cheese, and bacon if desired.
